We have renamed our first ever gin!
Animus Distillery Classic Dry Gin is now Animus Distillery Macedon Dry Gin.
Since being released to market in October 2016, our gins have received a great deal of enthusiastic praise from industry and trade as well as awards both locally and internationally.
We always created the Classic Dry Gin as an homage to the best of the old world gins, with a unique twist and balanced intensity of Australian native lemon myrtle and mountain pepper berries, and a freshness provided by local estate-grown ingredients. We have long loved the Macedon Ranges and since moving to Kyneton to establish our Distillery and Cocktail Bar & Lounge, we have relocated our estate-grown botanicals here also.
After considerable reflection, our team decided to rename the 'Classic Dry Gin' to 'Macedon Dry Gin' as a continued homage to the best of the old world gins, that references the source of our fresh botanicals and the location we now call home.
You can sample our Macedon Dry Gin and our other award-winning gin expressions at the Animus Distillery Cocktail Lounge & Bar in the historical Piper Street, Kyneton.
We hope you'll continue to enjoy our original gin expression with a renewed appreciation for its origins and newfound home.
