Animus Distillery wins Trophy in ADSA Awards and Gold medal in coveted ADI Awards
Animus Distillery is proud to announce our recent wins locally and Internationally in the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards and the American Distilling Institute.
The Australian Distilled Spirits Awards is conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria and is the industry-leading awards within Australia.
The American Distilling Institute is the premier USA trade organisation for craft distillers and their awards are considered worldwide to be one of the highest honours in the industry.
Our winning entry, Arboretum Gin, is our third and most ambitious gin expression and these latest honours are the fourth and fifth accolades awarded for this gin in under 18 months. Arboretum Gin also won gold medals at the 2017 Melbourne International Spirits Competition and a silver medal at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards in 2017, and recently took home a gold medal at the 2018 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards, along with the trophy for “champion Australian small batch spirit”.
Animus Arboretum Gin was born of a shared desire to create a unique super-premium Australian gin with a true sense of provenance, utilising many fresh ingredients grown by the team at Animus Distillery. Since its release, Animus Arboretum Gin has found a passionate audience amongst bartenders and gin connoisseurs with a love for premium handcrafted spirits, and the adventurous palate to embrace this bold reinterpretation sipped neat, as a gin and tonic, or for a range of innovative cocktail creations.
Utilising a range of fresh ingredients and some uniquely Australian botanicals, many of which are grown locally in our greenhouse, Animus Distillery’s Arboretum Gin delivers the unique flavours of fresh strawberry gum leaf, lemon thyme, rosemary, fresh oranges and Australian native bush tomato in support of classic citrus, bold juniper and coriander seed, with a long, spicy balanced finish.
